Chapter 41

Raaghav came out having the clothes that Vaidehi had asked him to wear in his hands.

Looking at him still in the suit, Vaidehi chided, "Aap.. Aapko change karne kaha tha na! "

"That's what! I dont wear this type of clothes, Vaidehi. Baccha lagunga isme! " He said, pointing out the hoodie that she had given him to wear.

"Wahi toh!.. I mean.. Ache lagenge aap. Pehenye na! " She coased.

"No.. Not happening. Not at all. "He said.

" Raaghav! Please na! ..

"No..

" Kitna nakhre karte hai aap! Ekbar kaha na apse pehenne ke liye. Chup chap jakar pehenye! "She said sternly now.

Raaghav was hell confused on her behavior. But more than that he was confused with his own self, as he found his legs walking on its own to the closet to obey her command.

The Raaghav who never listened to anyone, was obeying to his little wife, who didn't even reach his shoulders properly.

Nevertheless he came out wearing the outfit.

The clothes were comfortable, it's just that he didn't wear those type of clothes now for long. He looked like a college student in that, that's what he thought.

( outfit)

"Wow! See I told you you'll look nice. " Vaidehi exclaimed.

"Ya ya.." He just said.

"Chaliye ab! " She pulled him.

"What this with you pulling and pushing me every now and then? " He questioned as he moved along with her.

His so called question only to be royally ignored by Vaidehi.

"Jana kaha hai Vaidehi. "

"Offo bata dungi na! " She said.

After this they had their breakfast.

All the workers were staring at Raaghav as if he had grown horns, why wouldn't they, having seen him only in suits and formals, this utterly casual attire was a thing.

After breakfast, they started for their journey.

Vaidehi was the one driving, while Raaghav continued pursuing her to tell the destination.

After a while, she received a call from Bhaskar, looking at the name Raaghav asked her to put the phone on speaker giving the reason that 'no using phones while driving.

"Hello, ma'am! "

"Ha Bhaskar ji boliye! "

"Jo aapne kaha tha, jo sab kar diye hai! "

"Great! Thank you so much! "

Saying this the phone was hanged.

Raaghav was just watching their sweet exchanged.

"Bhaskar ka number change karwana padega! " He thought to himself.

After hearing this convo, he sat irritated.

Vaidehi who was till now hearing his bickering turned to see him staring out of the window.

"Ab kya huwa! "

"Bhaskar ko Bhaskar uncle kaho! Umar mei bade hai na tumse! " He said out of nowhere.

"Unhe pehle yehi, uncle hi kaha tha humne, par he said not to! "She said, concentrating on the road.

" What.. Yeh Bhaskar toh gaya!

Par umr nahi dekhi usne apni! Raaghav... Uska beta bhi toh hai, Vaidehi ki umr ka hi hoga! Shit! No! Par..He is loyal to you Raaghav. Yess! "He was having this bizzare conversation in his mind, when the car came to an hault.

Coming out to where the car haulted, Raaghav was stunned.

" Yaha kyu Vaidehi? "He asked looking directly towards her.

His face being stoic, but still it couldn't hid the rush of emotions from Vaidehi.

" You trust me? "She asked looking towards him.

Not getting a prompt answer from him, she again asked, "Atleast a little bit? "

This time Raaghav moved his head.

But his mind was clouded with yesterday's events as Vaidehi took his hand and walked towards the entrance of "Shantidhara".

Yesterday's events flashed infront of his eyes. He didn't wanted to proceed further but then he saw how softly Vaidehi had held his hand. He trusted her.

As they reached the entrance, they were greeted by a young lady, who appeared to be in her early 20s. She greeted the couple with a warm smile.

But what Vaidehi observed was, that the lady, who worked for the orphanage didn't knew about the owner, who was standing right in front of her. Surprising she thought.

After a brief introduction from Vaidehi side, who provided the information that she was a doctor, and ment no harm to the children, and doing the registration procedure, the lady whose name was Sarika, guided them inside.

Vaidehi still had Raaghav's hand entangled with her own.

As Raaghav approached the area where he met the children yesterday, his hold on Vaidehi's hand tightened.

Vaidehi somewhere identified his dilemma.

Miss. Sarika, will you please first guide us to the warden's office? ", Vaidehi asked.

" Yes ma'am! "Saying this Sarika began leading them.

After a while, they came in front of a small office, Vaidehi tapped on the door only to hear a come in from inside.

Raaghav was following her blindly.

They entered inside.

Mrs. Kamble,the warden was shocked.

" Tum phir beizzat hone aageye? "She asked Raaghav.

He was going to reply back, but Vaidehi took the charge.

" That's not how you talk with the owner miss! ", she replied sternly.

Raaghav was getting a whole different fighter vibes from her today.

He knew today she wanted to take charge. Though he had no idea about what she was upto and he had already found his way to tackle the orphanage situation, but somewhere he knew his Vaidehi would do it better.

So he trusted in whatever she was upto.

"Please take a seat, Raaghav. " , Vaidehi said turning towards Raaghav.

They both got themselves settled. Seeing that she's the only one standing, Mrs. Kamble also settled.

" We didn't ask you to sit miss. ", Vaidehi again said.

" And you are you that i need to seek your permission miss. "Mrs kamble asked.

" Mrs.! My wife.! "Raaghav replied. He had too, he won't take anything for Vaidehi after all.

" Exactly! The owner's wife you see.! ", Vaidehi said.

" Yeh owner owner kehna band karo pehle. He is the owner only for few more days... "Mrs Kamble said, only to cut off by Vaidehi.

" Exactly my point!"Vaidehi said turning towards Raaghav.

"You are the owner of this orphanage for few more days.! "Vaidehi said.

Raaghav not understanding what she wanted to say, gave her a squinted eye.

"Ab few days ke liye owner ho, toh orphanage ke decisions bhi few days ke liye le hi sakte ho na? " She asked.

Raaghav just stared at her.

"What's stopping you from sacking this warden,Raaghav? The owner can do anything so you can just dismiss her na? I mean few days ke liye toh tumhare decisions matter hi karte hai! ", Vaidehi said in a tone that was strict and serious, but Raaghav very well guessed the hidden playfulness that it had.

Mrs. Kamble who heard the conversations going on in front of her, was now in a panic situation. After all who would want to lose his/her job.

" No.. You can't do that.! "She said.

" I can Mrs. In fact, it's you only who reminded me that "I am still the owner, even if it's for just few more days. " And the owner can do anything you know na. So start packing your stuff. "

"What.. What do you think ha! By removing me you'll get the orphanage. No you'll never. The children hates you. The staff are harassed by you. The NGO will win the case. You are losing the orphanage anyhow.. "Mrs.Kamble started rambling.

" Call up all those who are working here. This very moment. "Vaidehi commanded.

" She asked you to do something Mrs. Kamble. "Raaghav dotted.

Mrs. Kamble quickly dialled on to call all the staff.

In nearly five minutes, the office was filled by two young ladies, of which one was Sarika, a man in his forties and a old lady, probably in her late 70s.

Vaidehi stood and so did Raaghav. They greeted the staff, but Raaghav's eyes were stuck on the old lady.

"Aap sab log jante hai yeh kaun hai? " Vaidehi asked.

She waited for anyone to answer, but nobody did.

After a brief silence, Sarika said, "aapke pati ma'am. "

Raaghav chuckled at the reply.

Vaidehi turned towards Mrs. Kamble now.

"Jin employees ko Raaghav ke torment, aur harassed aur pata nahi kya kya kiya. Woh toh Raaghav ko jante hi nahi hai! Interesting na? " She asked folding her arms.

Raaghav was surely enjoying this now.

He quickly dialled on to Bhaskar, asking him to do the necessity. And without moments a notification was heard on to the computer in the room.

"You termination letter is here Mrs. Kamble. You may leave.! " Raaghav said.

Vaidehi looked at him surprised. I mean she wanted this, but didn't knew he would do this so quickly.

The other employees were shocked.

"Leave before I start with my ways of doing things. " Raaghav said in a dangerous tone.

Mrs. Kamble quickly got her things together and left.

After her leaving, the couple turned towards the other employees who looked confused, but a lot relieved.

Vaidehi gestured Raaghav to do the needful.

"Namaskar! Hum iss orphanage ke naye malik hai.! ", he said.

The staff greeted him back.

" Apne acha kiya uss kamble ko nikalwa kar sabka jeena haram kar rakha tha unhone. "Sarika said.

Raaghav just kept a plain face.

" Mei Vaidehi, inki patni. "Vaidehi said softly.

" Aap sab se milke acha laga. Waise aap sab soch rahe honge ke achanak koi akar warden ko nikal kaise sakta hai. Aap logo ke maan mei bohot kuch chal raha hoga. But trust me, jab tak aap sab log baccho ke sath ache hai, tab tak sab kuch badhiya hai. ", it was Raaghav who tried to say it softly.

" Aur ek baat hai, "he further continued.

" Orphanage par case hua hai! "As he said that he heard gasps.

" Kaise case beta? "It was the old lady who spoke.

" Ek NGO ne, case kiya hai ki, "mei", yani ki iss orphanage ka owner, baccho ko darata dhamkata hai, aap logo ke sath badtameezi karta hai, in all aap sab ko pareshan karta hai. And kaha hai ki, yeh orphanage ya toh ngo ya government ke pass jaye! " Raaghav explained.

"Par aap toh humse ya baccho se kabhi mile hi nahi toh yeh sab.. " The other man spoke.

"Bebunyaad hai! Par even Mrs. Kamble yehi chahti thi. " Raaghav completed.

"Aisa nahi ho sakta, Yeh aashram Shanti ka tha.." The old women was saying

" Aur unhika rahega! "Raaghav completed looking straight into the old lady's eyes softly.

" Agar kabhi court mei aakar kehna pade toh kya aap sab log..

"Ji bilkul. " All the employees said together.

They had smiles, as the new couple standing in front of them appeared warm and kind. And they had removed them out of the tormenter named Mrs. Kamble out of the orphanage aswell, so the employees had an additional point of liking the couple.

All the employees left, while Sarika asked the couple to wait as she went to get them tea.

As the old lady was leaving, Raaghav softly held her hands.

Vaidehi just looked at what he was upto.

But then her phone rang, so she went to pick the call up.

Raaghav made the lady sit of a chair as he kneeled down a bit.

The old lady, who just came to know that he was the owner, was baffled to see him kneel infront of her.

"Yeh aap kya kar rahe hai! " She asked.

"Aab tak nahi pechana, Asha mausi? " Raaghav asked softly.

"Huh? "

"Shanti ka Raaghav bohot bada ho gaya kya? "

Hearing that, the old lady's eyes began to get filled with tears.

"Tu.. Tu.. Mere Shanti ka Raaghav hai! " She said softly cupping his face as she pecked his forehead.

Raaghav just let her show affection as he softly admired her.

"Kitna bada ho gaya hai! Kitne salo baad aya hai, yaad nahi aayi mausi ki? "

"Aayi na.. Bohot aayi.. Par phir socha, jab hak milega tab aayunga. " He replied.

"Milgaya haq? " She asked softly.

"Nahi.. Chinna padaa. "

"Jo jiska hai, woh ussi ke pass hota hai Raaghu. "

"Raaghu nahi mausi! "He chided hearing that endearment.

" Tu bilkul nahi baddal. Aaj bhi chidta hai! "She said ruffling his hair.

He laid his head in her lap as she caressed his hairs.

" Biwi badi pyaari hai teri! "

"Woh toh hai! "

"Aur samajdar bhi! "

"Hmm..Pata ahi apko, Mrs. Kamble ko nikalwane ka bhi usne hi sujaya mhuje. "

"Arey waah! "

"Samajdar toh hona hi tha, doctor hai na! " He said to which the old lady chuckled. Raaghav gave her a questioning look.

"Jo bachpan mei injection se darta tha, usne injection laga ne wali se shadi kar li! " Saying this she laughed.

"Arey yaar mausi, aap bhi kya..

" Kaise bhaaga tha tu injection ke naam pe yaad hai? "

Just then Vaidehi returned she observing Raaghav and the old lady laughing and having a conversation together, she stayed in her place avoiding to disturb them.

She even took the plate from Sarika and asked her to leave for her work.

" Mausi.. Maze ki baat batau?

To which the old lady raised her eyebrows.

"Injection se darne wala aaj khud injection banata hai. I mean pharmaceutical company hai meri. " He said.

"Arey waah! Tu toh bada aadmi ban gaya! "

"Ha nahi toh kya! " He replied raising his collar. To which they both laughed again.

"Arey beta tum waha kyu khadi ho andar aayo na! " The old lady, said to Vaidehi.

"Ha Vaidu! Aah na! ", Raaghav called out involuntarily.

Vaidehi was shocked at first, but she certainly loved the fact that Raaghav called her out like she belonged to him

Vaidehi obligingly, came inside. Raaghav too now got up and occupied a seat.

"Vaidehi, yeh Asha Mausi hai, bohot saalo se yaha kaam kar rahi hai. Aur mausi yeh Vaidehi.

" Tumhari biwi. Janti hu jaanti hu. "Mausi replied chucking. The old age and being with children all her life was certainly turned her into a child as well, Raaghav knew.

Vaidehi touched the lady's feet earning her blessings.

Later she too took her seat.

" Kitne pyaare lagte ho tum dono sath mei, tumhare baache toh ekdam sundar honge! "The old lady said promptly, making the couple go all red.

Raaghav coughed a bit to erase the tension.

" Suna tum ek doctor ho beta! "

"Ji.. Ji mausi. "

"Yeh agar tumhari baat na mane toh ek injection laga dena! Maan jayega phir.! " Mausi said chuckling.

"Mausi.. Yaar..." Raaghav chided.

Vaidehi understood what all, and laughed.

"Ji jaroor mausi! " She said in between the laughs.

Raaghav sat there sulking watching the two ladies laugh on him.

"Aap dono ek dusre ko pehle se jaante hai? " Vaidehi asked.

"Bachpan mei maa ke sath yaha aaya karta tha mei! " Raaghav explained.

"Ooh.", came a quick reaction from Vaidehi.
